Lemonade is a popular and refreshing summer drink with a long history in homes and restaurants. Fresh lemonade has a flavor unlike any instant mix can provide. Make your own lemonade with fresh lemons or bottled lemon juice. A 1-gallon batch will produce six to eight servings of fresh lemonade. Mix the sugar and hot water in a large pitcher. Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves completely.
2Add the cold water and lemon juice and stir thoroughly.
3Chill the lemonade for two to four hours in the refrigerator before serving or serve it over ice.
