How to Cleanse the Body With Maple Syrup & Lemon Juice

The combination of maple syrup and lemonade for a body cleansing regime is part of the Master Cleanse Detox that was first developed by Stanley Burroughs in 1941. The aim of the detox is to rid the body of all harmful chemicals that build up on the insides of the body, including the kidneys and intestines. The cleanse was originated as a cure to myriad ailments and addictions such as alcoholism and smoking. In today's weight-obsessed world where skin-and-bones is in, the detox cleanse is used more as a bottled diet tool for rapid weight loss.

Instructions

    1

Mix 3/4 cup maple syrup with 3/4 cup lemon juice, tsp. cayenne pepper and 2 liters of water. Stir until completely incorporated. Use warm water to dissolve the maple syrup.

    2

Divide the concoction into two 1-liter bottles. Take the bottles, along with a full water bottle, with you everywhere you go.

    3

Drink from the bottles every time you feel a pang of hunger throughout the day. You are not to eat anything other than what is in the bottle. The two liters of "juice" are your only rations for the day, so you must space it out. After every "swig" drink a large amount of water to not only wash out the pepper lemon taste, but to keep the body completely hydrated to help the cleansing process.

    4

Finish the two bottles before bedtime, as well as at least 2 liters of fresh water.

    5

Flush out your intestines with the salt water flush. Because you are not eating any solid foods, your intestines will be inclined to stop functioning normally. As such you must force bowel movements yourself. Mix 1 liter of warm water with 1 tablespoon of natural sea salt, mix vigorously to dissolve all the salt, and drink it. Tasting it will probably make you vomit the first time as consuming high volumes of salt water causes the human body to purge it as an instinctive mechanism against drowning. But don't give up. If you taste it, try plugging your nose. The flush ends with very messy and long bowel movements.

    6

Repeat steps 1 through 5 for 10 to 15 days, remembering to drink plenty of water and absolutely no other food or drink than the lemon concoction.

    7

Begin eating foods again. Once you have finished the 10 to 15 days of the cleanse, you can slowly ease into feeding your body. Ending most near-starvation diets can result in extreme stomach and bowel upset; therefore, it is wise to ease into it. Begin the first day by drinking orange juice, followed by a day of vegetable and chicken broth, followed by fruits and vegetables, and then on the fourth day you can go back to eating cheeseburgers and fries.
