Heavy Mineral Cleanse

Heavy Mineral Cleanse

Heavy metals can be present in our drinking water, food sources and even in the air we breathe. When these metals accumulate in our organs and blood, they may cause a variety of symptoms of toxicity, including memory loss, impaired cognition, ADHD symptoms, Alzheimer's disease and symptoms of autism, to name a few. Chelation cleansing therapies are expensive and sometimes dangerous in younger patients and the elderly, but you can create your own heavy metal detoxes at home by following these simple recipes.

Create a Pesto

This Pesto recipe can help you remove toxins from your body.

Chop at least two cups of fresh cilantro, and add it to four cloves of garlic, 2/3 cup of flaxseed oil, 1/3 cup of Brazil nuts, 1/3 cup of sunflower seeds, 1/3 cup of pumpkin seeds, four tablespoons of lemon juice, two teaspoons of dulce powder and a pinch or two of sea salt. Blend all of the ingredients together in a food processor until they are chopped and mixed thoroughly. When it is pasty, store it in a dark glass container. You can freeze it so you can use it even when cilantro is no longer in season. Eat two teaspoons of the pesto daily for three weeks to help rid your body of heavy metals, including lead, aluminum and mercury. The mix can be eaten directly from the jar or with crackers or toast as a snack.

Herbs

Herbs can be helpful in eliminating toxins from your body.

Many different types of herbs can help you cleanse heavy metals from your body. Psyllium can help remove impurities from your colon, which will help flush toxins through your system more effectively. Dandelion root will help cleanse your liver, gall bladder and kidneys. Gentian root will help cleanse your pancreas, glands, spleen and liver.

You should be careful when using herbal remedies that claim to detox your body of heavy metals, however. Be sure to drink plenty of water to help your body rid itself of the toxins it is releasing. Never use an herbal cleanse when you are dieting, as you may deplete your body of necessary nutrients and cause further harm to your organs. Eat plenty of raw vegetables and fresh fruits and drink fruit juices to ensure proper nutrition while you are detoxing. If you experience headaches while cleansing with an herbal remedy, increase your water intake; stop the cleanse if headaches persist for more than three days.

Cleansing Lemonade

    This

The "Master Cleanse" is a toxin-removal program that was developed more than 50 years ago. Many books and programs are based on the cleanse, and celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Beyonce' have been outspoken about its benefits. If you are interested in performing the "Master Cleanse," you should consult your doctor first about what is involved and whether the program could benefit you.

This "Master Cleanse" lemonade is easy to make but must be stored at room temperature and made fresh daily. Mix two tablespoons of organic lemon juice with two tablespoons of organic grade B maple syrup, 1/10 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper and 10 ounces of filtered water. This will make one serving of lemonade, and you should drink six to 10 servings a day to help your body remove heavy metals and other toxins from your body.
