Ultra Cleanse Diet

You don't have to go to a professional detoxification facility in order to cleanse your body of built-up toxins and mucus. There are many diet programs that will help clean your body and make you healthier. If you're looking for the ultimate body cleanse, look no further than the lemonade diet. The Cleanse

    The master cleanse is also known as the lemonade diet, but this is not a diet--it is a detox procedure. This procedure will give you strength and stamina while making you look younger at the same time. You'll take in about 650 calories less than normal while on this detox program.

    You will start every day with either a salt-water flush or by drinking a laxative tea. This is an essential part of the detox program. In order to clean your body out, you're going to have to pass the built-up toxins sitting inside your body. Since you won't be intaking anything but lemonade all day, you'll have to manually force the toxins out of your body.

    If you choose the salt-water flush, mix one tablespoon of Sea Salt with one liter of room-temperature water. The taste isn't going to be pleasant, so you may want to try and chug the whole thing at once. This will prevent you from getting the full taste and may make it more bearable.

    If this seems too hard for you to do, you can buy a laxative tea of your choice. Whatever you choose to consume doesn't matter; expect to make five to seven bowel movements about a half an hour after you take your laxative. It's best to make sure you're at home with nothing to do before you take your laxative. You will have to go to the bathroom every 10 minutes or so, so leaving your house isn't a good idea. Once you can go for more than 15 minutes without making a bowel movement, you're done and you're free to leave your home.

    After you flush your body, you can begin consuming the lemonade. You want to drink 12 glasses of lemonade a day, but make sure you spread your intakes out throughout the day. Whatever amount of lemonade you make at the beginning of the day is the amount that needs to last you the entire day. You don't want to have any left over when you go to sleep either, so make sure you drink it all.

The Lemonade Recipe

    To make the lemonade, use 14 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Make sure the lemons are organic, meaning they haven't been treated with pesticides. Mix it with 14 tablespoons of grade b maple syrup (if you're diabetic, you can replace the syrup with agave nectar and molasses), half a teaspoon of red pepper or cayenne pepper and two liters of spring water.

    These amounts are for all the lemonade you need for one day. Whether you want to add pulp or not is essentially up to you. The diet will probably work better without pulp, as it just adds extra work for your body's digestive system.

Easing into the Cleanse

    It's good to ease into the cleanse for two or three days so your body isn't so shocked when you begin the diet. This will help your urge for food when enduring the cleanse. For the first day, completely remove processed foods and meat from your diet. Eat only fruits and vegetables. The second day you should consume fruit and vegetable juice or soup broths. This will get your body ready for a liquid diet. Day three gets harder. Water down two liters of orange juice and mix in two tablespoons of maple syrup for caloric needs. This is all you will be consuming for the day. On the fourth day, you'll begin the actual cleanse.

Easing out of the Cleanse

    You're going to start out intaking very light foods. Day one should consist of nothing but orange juice mixed with a little bit of maple syrup. On day two you can move onto fruit and vegetable juice or broth, and on day three you can begin eating entire fruits or vegetables. By day four you will be back to your regular diet. This is a good after-cleanse plan because you can become nauseated if you start to eat too soon. The most important factor to keep in mind during this stage is to drink a lot of water so you don't become constipated.

Tips

    The first three days of the cleanse are going to be the hardest. Once you get through them, your body will enter a state of tranquility and feel better.

    Expect to feel worse before you feel better. When you're completely flushing your body of built-up toxins, youre body is going to go through major changes. It's normal to feel minor aches at the beginning of your cleanse.

    This is not a diet. Never continue the diet for more than a month, and it's recommended that you only stay on the program for 10 days. If you want to lose weight, there are healthy ways to do so. This is a detox program.

    You're going to have to continue eating and exercising in a healthy way to maintain your newly cleansed body. This isn't a one-time fix.

    Don't cheat. You're going to be hungry, but it's all in your head. This diet provides all the needs for your body to function in a healthy fashion. Drink an herbal tea in the evening with a little maple syrup on days that are feeling hard. Or wash down a glass of pure, freshly squeezed orange juice with a lot of water and drink it. It can do wonders for your psyche.

    Don't skip the laxatives. This is when you're literally flushing your body of the nasty toxins. Miss this part and you miss the goal of the diet.
