Fruit Flavored Sugar Drinks

Fruit Flavored Sugar Drinks

There are many fruit juices and smoothies on the market, but there are also fruit flavored drinks loaded with sugar. If you are looking for a healthier option, look for drinks that have 100 percent fruit juice on the label. Many juice brands claim to be fruit juice, but really consist of artificial flavors. However, if you are looking for tasty fruit flavored drinks, and not counting calories, there are plenty of sweet drinks to choose from. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Arizona Fruit Flavored Drinks

Arizona fruit flavored drinks pack a lot of flavor, but they also contain a lot of sugar and calories. The portion size has a lot to do with the calorie count and sugar amount. At 23.5 oz per can, Arizona offers more juice per can than other fruit flavored drinks. You can choose between seven flavors: fruit punch, grapeade, kiwi strawberry, mucho mango, orangeade, lemonade and watermelon. Arizona Fruit Punch has 300 calories and 25 grams of sugar. The Kiwi Strawberry flavor has 360 calories and 28 grams of sugar. The Watermelon juice cocktail has 300 calories and 24 grams of sugar. You can find Arizona fruit flavored drinks at liquor stores, gas stations, and supermarkets. Arizona drinks are sold by the can or in gallon jugs.

Hi-C Fruit Flavored Drinks

Hi-C juices are made by the Minute Maid company, but that doesn't mean that they contain 100 percent fruit juice. Hi-C boxed juice drinks have very little fruit juice, but a lot of fruit flavor. Each box contains 100 calories and around 25 grams of sugar. Hi-C juices contain filtered water, sweeteners, citric acids, artificial flavors and juice from concentrate. Hi-C juice boxes come in blueberry, strawberry, fruit punch, grape, orange, lemonade, wild berry, kiwi, wild cherry and tropical punch flavors. There are 200 ml of juice in each box. You can find Hi-C juice boxes at your local supermarket.

CapriSun Fruit Flavored Drinks

CapriSun is a tasty fruit drink, that doesn't taste very natural. CapriSun has changed a lot over the years, and now parents can purchase juices with 25 percent less sugar. Choose between fruit punch, strawberry kiwi, wild cherry, tropical punch, pacific cooler, lemonade, mountain cooler, grape, strawberry, splash cooler, red berry, orange, surf cooler and coastal cooler. Each juice pouch contains 177 ml of juice. There are 60 calories per container and 16 grams of sugar. There are 10 containers per box. CapriSun can be purchased at your local grocery store. If you are looking for the CapriSun taste, with fewer calories and less sugar, purchase the CapriSun Roarin' Waters instead. This drink is considered flavored water. With 30 calories and seven grams of sugar, it might be a better option than the original CapriSun. However, this drink contains no actual fruit juice. CapriSun Roarin' Waters come in tropical fruit, wild cherry, strawberry kiwi, grape and berry. The drink is flavored with artificial sweeteners.
