Watermelon Liquor Drinks

Watermelon Liquor Drinks

The number of drinks made from watermelon liquor are limited, but there are a few shots or cocktail drinks you can create. Most drinks use either watermelon vodka or watermelon schnapps to add the melon flavor. In a drink such as a Pink Fizzy, you can use watermelon vodka or schnapps interchangeably while a Stampede cocktail combines both liquors for a strong burst of watermelon flavor. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Mad Melon Cocktail

A Mad Melon cocktail uses lemonade and watermelon schnapps to make a refreshing cocktail for any occasion. Add 1 oz. watermelon schnapps and 3 oz. of cold lemonade to a cocktail shaker. Don't add any ice to the cocktail shaker. Stir the schnapps and lemonade and pour into a chilled, cocktail glass to serve.

Pink Fizzy

Fill a highball glass with ice and add watermelon schnapps until the glass is half full. Add lemon and lime soda to the top of the glass and serve. If you want a stronger version of a Pink Fizzy, fill the glass 1/3 of the way with watermelon vodka, then add lemon-lime soda to the top.

Watermelon Crawl

A Watermelon Crawl adds several fruit flavors together for a refreshing drink. Add ice to a 16 oz. pint glass and add in 1 oz. Amaretto almond liqueur, 1 oz. peach liqueur and 1 oz. watermelon schnapps and stir. Add 3 oz. orange juice and 3 oz. pineapple juice to the drink. Stir again and garnish with a cherry.

Wet Kiss

A Wet Kiss is a shot that uses watermelon schnapps. The shot is a layered drink that starts with 1 part Amaretto almond liqueur followed by 1 part sweet and sour mix and finishing with 1 part watermelon schnapps for a layered shot. You can also serve a Wet Kiss as a small cocktail by pouring equal parts of each ingredient (in the same order as the shot recipe) into a highball glass filled with ice.

Cosmopolitan Cocktail

A Cosmopolitan uses several ingredients, including watermelon vodka to create a twist on a traditional Cosmopolitan martini. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add 1 oz. vodka, oz. watermelon vodka, oz. triple sec, a splash of lime juice, a splash of sweet and sour mix and oz. of cranberry juice. Shake the mixture thoroughly and strain into a chilled martini glass. Add a lime wedge for a garnish and serve.

Hawaiian Hillbilly

A Hawaiian Hillbilly has nothing to do with Hawaii or hillbillies but it is a fun summer drink. Fill a 10 oz. glass with ice and add 3 oz. of watermelon vodka. Add another 3 oz. of Hawaiian punch juice mix and stir before serving with a fun straw.

Stampede

A Stampede is a drink that combines watermelon vodka and schnapps. You need to mix 2 oz. of watermelon vodka with 2 oz. watermelon schnapps in a 10 oz. glass filled with ice. Fill to the top with an energy drink and serve.
