Lemonade Diet Directions

The Lemonade Diet restricts all food to only a special lemonade mixture that is consumed for a minimum of 10 days. It is considered by some people to be a natural detoxifying and cleansing diet that aids in jump starting a healthy lifestyle. When following the Lemonade Diet as instructed, dieters stand to lose an average of 2 lbs. per day.

Gathering and Mixing Ingredients

    The Lemonade Diet consists of a measured mixture of freshly squeezed organic lemons, grade B or better maple syrup and organic cayenne pepper. The diet starts with preparing the mixture by squeezing the juice of 3 small or 2 large organic lemons then adding 14 tbsp. of maple syrup and 2 tsp. of cayenne pepper with 2 liters of purified water. The 2 liters of the lemonade mixture must be made fresh and consumed completely each day of the diet.

Directions for Consuming Lemonade Mixture

    During the Lemonade Diet, the mixture's ingredients are the only directed nutrients to be consumed. When following the diet, it is advised that dieters prepare the lemonade mixture each morning so that it is fresh and retains as much of its nutrients and energy as possible. Once the 2-liter mixture has been made, it should be consumed throughout the entire day until it is gone. Even though lemonade is considered to be an appetite suppressant, the dieter is advised to drink more of the lemonade mixture if hunger strikes.
