Put a little different spin on lemonade by adding blueberries. For the best results, use fresh berries, squeeze the lemon juice rather than buying a prepared drink and cook up a simple syrup. This method may take a few extra minutes, but it's well worth the time. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Combine 1 cup sugar and 2 cups water in a pan over medium heat. Continue stirring until it comes to a boil.
2Lower the heat after the syrup boils and let it simmer about 1 minute.
3Remove the syrup from the stove and let it cool.
4Puree the blueberries in the blender with 2 tablespoons sugar.
5Pour the syrup, fresh-squeezed lemon juice and pureed blueberries into a pitcher.
6Measure about 1/4 cup of the syrup mixture into each glass and fill with ice and water to serve.
