Lemon Drink Cleansing Diet

The lemonade drink diet gained sudden popularity after superstar Beyonce attributed her svelte figure to this diet. This literally catapulted the lemonade drink diet, also known as the Master Cleanse Diet, to instant fame. The Master Cleanse program is a rigorous fasting program that consists of nothing more than a mixture of lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper that you consume six to seven times a day. No additional food or drink is allowed while on this plan. Ideally, there are three steps to this plan: easing in, the actual diet and easing out.

Easing In

Easing in, also known as the pre-diet is not a must for everyone. Easing out receives more emphasis than easing in. But the pre-diet is beneficial, as it prepares your mind, as well as your body for less food. On the first day of the pre-diet, you eliminate all processed foods and meats from your diet and eat only fruits and vegetables. On the second day, you are encouraged to move to fruit and vegetable juices and/or broths. On the last day of the pre-diet, you may have only orange juice. This is intended to prepare your stomach for what is about to come, or, in this case, not come.

The Actual Diet

The actual diet is not complicated at all. All you have to do is consume the Master Cleanse drink throughout the day. Each serving of the lemonade drink contains 2 tbsps. of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 2 tbsps. of Grade-B organic maple syrup, 1/10 tsp. of cayenne pepper and 10 oz. of filtered water.
As a supplement, you can have a salt water flush, which is 2 tsps. of salt mixed in a quart of water in the morning and an herbal tea that has laxative properties at night. These are only recommended and not mandatory for the success of the program.
You can do this cleanse routine as often as you want. Some do it once a week, while others follow it religiously for up to 14 days. Five to seven days are considered standard, and dieters can choose what works best for them.
The Master Cleanse Diet is intended to remove excess waste, weight and toxins from your body, leaving you with a slimmer body and more energy.

Easing Out

Easing out is exactly the same as easing in, except that you have to go about it the other way around. Easing out is an extremely essential part of the program, and dieters are strongly advised against going back to normal food immediately after cleansing. Drink lots of water, and keep yourself hydrated. The exact reverse of the easing in step, you will have orange juice mixed with maple syrup on day one, followed by fruit and vegetable broth or juice on day two, and finally on day three, you can have raw fruits and vegetables.
Following this easing out ritual, you can go back to your regular diet, with the advice that you eat wisely.
