How to Cleanse With Tea

Detoxify your body with the cleansing properties of tea. Different teas help cleanse different parts of your body. You must make your tea selection depending on what purpose you need it to serve. For example, green tea is rich in antioxidants, good for digestion and promotes heart health. Senna seed tea is known for relaxing the gastrointestinal tract muscles and helps to get rid of some of the waste and toxins that remain trapped in the body. Whichever herbal combination you choose to cleanse your system, you will reap the health benefits of drinking tea. Add this to my Recipe Box.

    Decide the type of cleansing you need, then purchase the tea for that particular purpose. There are teas formulated to cleanse the colon, liver, kidneys, skin and immune system.

    Boil water in a saucepan. Place a tea bag or tea strainer with tea leaves in it into your cup. Pour the hot water into the cup and let the tea brew in the cup for three to five minutes if you're using loose leaf tea. Brew the tea for one to two minutes if you're using a tea bag.

    Drink about three cups of tea per day and never exceed the recommended consumption amount listed on the box of tea.
