How to Make Fresh Strawberry Lemonade

How to Make Fresh Strawberry Lemonade

On a steamy summer day, nothing is quite as refreshing as a cold glass of fresh homemade strawberry lemonade. What people think of as an all-American beverage traces its roots to medieval times. The earliest written recipe for lemonade came from the early Egyptians, who used lemons for medicinal purposes. By the early 1700s, lemons were growing in both Florida and California. Making a batch of fresh strawberry lemonade is easy and enjoyable. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

    1

Remove the seeds carefully from the lemons. Using the strainer, squeeze the lemons so the juice is captured into a glass or plastic drink pitcher.

    2

Add the ice, cold water and sugar to the pitcher. Stir the mixture well, making sure to move the mix from the bottom of the pitcher.

    3

Cut the strawberry stems off and dice the strawberries in small sections. Add the strawberries to the lemon and sugar mixture and stir well.
