How to Make Frozen Lemonade Drinks at Home

Lemonade is a refreshing treat for any warm day. Whether you want to make a slushy treat for kids, add fresh fruit or splash a bit of alcohol into the mix for a tasty concoction the adults can enjoy, you have endless possibilities when creating a frozen lemonade drink in your own kitchen. Lemonade is created out of three basic ingredients: water, lemon juice and sugar. Adding your own ingredients to the lemonade and then blending allows you to make any kind of drink you choose. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

Basic Frozen Lemonade

    1

Mix 1 cup each of lemon juice (preferably fresh) and granulated sugar in a large measuring cup. Stir thoroughly to dissolve sugar granules.

    2

Pour a cup of ice and two cups of water into the blender, and then add the lemon-sugar mixture. Blend on high for 30 seconds, or until the ice is completely blended and no chunky ice remains.

    3

Pour into a glass and garnish with a piece of fresh fruit, such as a lemon wedge.

Fruity Frozen Lemonade

    4

Pour a 6 ounce can of lemonade concentrate into a blender, along with 1 cup of water and 2 cups of ice.

    5

Blend the lemonade and ice together on high for 30 seconds, or until the ice is completely smooth.

    6

Add 1 cup of fruit to the blended lemonade mixture. Fresh fruit ideas include blueberries, strawberries, cherries or watermelon. Pulse the blender 5 to 6 times to completely blend the fruit into the frozen lemonade mixture.

Alcoholic Frozen Lemonade

    7

Pour a 6 ounce can of frozen lemonade concentrate into a blender with 1-1/2 ounces of your favorite liquor and 2 cups of ice. Rum, vodka or tequila all work well in any frozen lemonade recipe.

    8

Blend the ingredients together on high for 30 seconds, or until the ice is completely crushed.

    9

Pour the slushy mixture into a glass tumbler or margarita glass and garnish with a piece of fresh fruit.
