How to Cure Kidney Stones With Vinegar

Kidney stones are extremely painful, as anyone who has experienced them will let you know. Kidney stones consist of calcium, which is alkaline. Vinegar, on the other hand, is acidic. The theory is, supported by many success stories, that the acetic and phosphoric acids in vinegar reduce the size or completely dissolve the kidney stone and allow it to pass pain-free. Vinegar can be ingested to battle kidney stones, or it can be used topically to reduce or eliminate pain from kidney stones.

Instructions

Using apple cider vinegar internally

    1

Swallow a mixture of 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar with 5 tbsp. water. This will dilute the taste of the vinegar for some people who have problems taking it straight. You can repeat this step multiple times during each day until you notice some relief. Some kidney stone sufferers have seen results in as little as 24 hours.

    2

Combine 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar with honey or lemon juice and drink. This also will curb the sour taste of the vinegar. This also can be repeated as often as you like and results could be seen in 24 hours.

    3

Add a tablespoon or more of apple cider vinegar to your favorite salad dressing and pour over your salad. This is a great way to hide the taste of excess vinegar if you are opposed to using the above methods.

Using apple cider vinegar externally

    4

Combine one part apple cider vinegar and one part water.

    5

Warm the mixture on the stove in a small saucepan. Do not heat it past the point at which you can touch it without burning your skin.

    6

Soak a small washcloth in the hot vinegar/water concoction and apply directly to the site on your body where you are experiencing pain from a kidney stone, whether this is your lower back, sides or groin area.

    7

Repeat when the mixture has cooled and until the pain has decreased.
