How to Use Regular Oranges After the Cleanse

How to Use Regular Oranges After the Cleanse

The Master Cleanse, sometimes called The Lemonade Diet, is touted as a fasting diet and detoxification. Developed by Stanley Burroughs, the diet is designed to rid the body of excessive waste products and toxins. It is often used as a way to quickly lose weight, but can't be used as a long-term weight loss diet. The Master Cleanse diet consists of a drink with lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water for up to two weeks. It is then followed by an "ease out" program. On day one of the ease out program, the dieter can drink orange juice.

Instructions

    1

Juice enough fresh oranges to make 2 liters of orange juice. Use an electric juicer or a hand juicer. You will need about 30 oranges.

    2

Strain the orange juice through a food strainer if you don't like the pulp. Remove any seeds.

    3

Mix the orange juice with water until you reach the taste you prefer. If desired, you can mix a little grade-B maple syrup to taste.

    4

Drink the orange juice throughout the day. Only drink orange juice, water and herbal tea on the first day of the ease out program.

    5

Combine the orange juice with other juices on the second day of ease out. You can have any fruit or vegetable juice along with broths.

    6

On the third day of ease out, you can add raw or cooked fruits and vegetables.
