Vodka Blender Drinks

Vodka Blender Drinks

Vodka is a distilled alcoholic beverage that can be used in a variety of mixed and frozen drinks. When combined with fruit juices, vodka can provide a refreshing treat that can be enjoyed alone or at barbecues, parties and a myriad of other social events where alcoholic beverages are served. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Applejack Flip

For this drink to turn out correctly, it is important to add all of the ingredients in the correct order to allow proper absorption. In an electric blender, add 2 2/3 oz. of vodka, one egg, 2 tsp. of sugar and 1/2 cup of shaved or finely crushed ice. Allow the concoction to chill for approximately 10 minutes, then cover and blend for approximately 20 seconds. Once blended through, pour the mixture into a 6 oz. glass and sprinkle with nutmeg to taste.

Creamsicle Drink

Add one 6 oz. can of frozen orange juice (regular or reduced sugar), 1 cup of 2% low fat milk (1% or skim milk may be used if you prefer), 1/2 cup of sugar, 9 ice cubes, 1 cup water, 1 tsp. vanilla and 4 oz. vodka to an electric blender. Cover the blender and mix for at least one minute or until all of the ingredients are smooth and the ice is crushed. Pour the mixture into 6 oz. glasses. Serve very cold. Makes 4 6-oz. servings.

Frozen Drink CheeChee

This drink is more of a desert and is made over a period of two days. Add 2 15-oz. cans of coconut cream, 2 46-oz. cans of unsweetened pineapple juice and 25 ounces of vodka to a blender. Cover and blend thoroughly for at least one minute or until the ingredients have mixed smoothly. Pour the mixture into a plastic bowl with a lid and freeze overnight, or for at least 8 hours. Using an ice cream scooper, scoop out the mixture into 8-ounce glasses and top with lemon-lime soda. Yields 24 6-oz. servings.
