How to Mix Soft Drinks

How to Mix Soft Drinks

Soft drinks differ from other mixed drinks because they do not use alcohol, making them a family-friendly alternative to cocktails. Soft drinks encompass a wide range of flavors and styles. Depending on the region of the United States you live in, a soft drink could refer strictly to carbonated beverages like sodas or pops, but in other areas, a soft drink is any nonalcoholic drink. Rather than relying on the commercially made flavors, mix your own soft drinks from frozen juice concentrate and club soda to create healthier concoctions for any member of the family. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

    1

Transfer the frozen juice concentrate from the freezer to thaw in the refrigerator overnight.

    2

Remove one end of the can of juice concentrate and reserve the empty can for measuring the club soda.

    3

Pour the juice concentrate into a pitcher.

    4

Fill the empty juice can with club soda and pour it into the pitcher. Repeat two more times for a total addition of 36 oz. of club soda to the juice concentrate.

    5

Gently stir the soft drink with a long handled spoon, but stop stirring as soon as the juice concentrate dissolves into the club soda. Excessive stirring will make the soft drink go flat.

    6

Store the soft drink in the refrigerator, covered for up to two days.
