Doctor Doctor! I must say you have to check with your doctor before doing a juice fast. Mostly so the author of this article won't get sued, BUT beware of any medications such as appetite suppressed and any medicated weight loss aides. Remember that cleansing your body is part of this plan and adding anymore chemicals and medications to it is not a good idea. Of course if you are already on medication I don't suggest you discontinue. A lot of people who have gone on the juice fast no longer needed medication of any sort afterward. Something for your brain to chew on...(but not your mouth)

    2

    Preparing for your Juice Fast.

Don't plan to just dive into a juice fast with miraculous results. First you need to train your body so that you don't crave and abandon your juice fast on the second day. A week before you plan to start your fast, Omit the following: All dairy, meats, poultry, eggs, fish, processed foods, fast foods, anything with preservatives or artificial coloring, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils, soy products (as of now all U.S. soy products contain GMO's), and WHITE REFINED SUGAR as well as WHITE FLOUR.

Well, Organic produce is free of pesticides, chemicals, and any GMO's that might harm you. To make sure something is organic look at the sticker usually placed on it, it should start with the number 9. If for some reason you can not afford organic fruits and veggies then make sure you peel everything before juicing it.

In a typical Juicing day you want to have about 1 quart of juice along with 10 or more glasses of water. If you are not a water-drinker, get in the habit. It will do wonders in aiding the toxins and extra fat to leave your body.

    7

    Will I feel hungry???

Hunger is seen as a danger and people seldom let themselves feel the real hunger that many people and children across the earth feel. I have news for you. It's okay to feel hungry! It really is, you won't die from feeling a bit hungry from time to time.
Don't worry though, you will feel a bit hungry in the beginning but the juice fills you up and satisfies the tummy. After a while on your juice fast you will begin to see that it's cravings you mistaken for hunger (not hunger itself).

    8

After you finish your fast, whether it be 7 or 50 days. You will gain a bit of weight, not ALL of it but just a little so to balance your entry into solid foods. This is expected so don't freak out at several pounds after the fast is over.

    10

    Ending the fast:

As hard as it may be to believe, the hardest part is NOT the actual fasting but ending the fast. It is very crucial how you end your fast. Remember your digestive system has had a long break and the poor thing can not be bombarded with foods the first day you are free of your juice fast. To brake your fast, soak 8 oz of prunes in 16 oz of water overnight. When you are ready to break your fast, drink the soaked water and eat the prunes. This will help in digestion and is a good bridge to eating solid foods again.

To avoid overeating, binging, and going wild after our juice fast continue juicing once or twice a day or before each meal. Keep raw fruits and veggies in your diet.
