How to Lose 50 Pounds in Two Months

It is common for people who are trying to lose weight to want it gone immediately. You want to look better and feel better quickly, but a few stubborn pounds just seem to stay where they are regardless of what diet you're on. There are ways to lose those last pounds quickly, in as little as two months in fact. However you must use caution and realize that the results of this method will vary from person to the next.

Instructions

    1

Set your mind. Before you begin, be sure your mind is set and you're willing to stick with your weight loss goals. If you feel as though your willpower is going to waiver, wait until you are positive that this time you are truly ready to make a change.

    2

Increase your water intake. If you're dehydrated, your kidneys will not function at full capacity. This means the toxins clogging your system and contributing to your excess weight will remain in your body. In addition, water helps fill you up, keeping you feeling full in between meals. Drinking eight, 8 oz. glasses of water a day is a good place to start.

    3

Enter ketosis. This is the process when your body burns fat for energy rather than carbohydrates. It is the stage when carbohydrates are limited to 20 g or less. It is during this stage that you can burn fat and calories rapidly. If you can handle eliminating all refined sugars and carbohydrates for two months, your chances of losing 50 pounds is fairly decent.

    4

Choose your foods. When using ketosis, choose your foods carefully. There are hidden carbs in many items, including cheeses, fruits and vegetables. Your main food source should be all types of meat and fish, eggs, up to 4 oz. of cheese and several cups of green, leafy vegetables.

    5

Use meal replacement shakes. If you want to take some of the hassle out of cooking and choosing your foods, you can always purchase pre-packaged, meal replacement shakes. Some companies offer drinks that are flavorful and contain only 2 g of carbohydrates each.

    6

Exercise. No diet is complete without an exercise routine. To lose weight and belly fat, you need to get at least 30 to 45 minutes of exercise each day. The best exercise is aerobic, something that raises your heart rate and burns energy. Good options include brisk walking, swimming, jogging or biking.
