How to Make Easy Yogurt Popsicles

How to Make Easy Yogurt Popsicles

Yogurt pops offer a healthy alternative to sugary flavored ice pops. Instead of paying top dollar for healthy frozen treats, you can make your own yogurt pops at home, in flavors your kids will eat. You may find that they are so delicious, you'll be sneaking one for yourself. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

Yogurt cup

    1

Place a container of yogurt on a steady surface and use a knife to slice a small line into the lid. The line needs to be the size of the wooden stick. Make sure the yogurt containers have straight sides or are narrower at the bottom than the top.

    2

Insert one wooden stick into the lid of each yogurt cup. Move the yogurt cups to a flat surface in the freezer and make sure the sticks are pointing straight up. Let the cups freeze at least an hour or two, or until they feel frozen.

    3

Remove the cups from the freezer and run warm water over the outside to loosen the pop. Slowly remove the lid and pull the stick. The yogurt pop should come right out.

Yogurt tubes

    4

Lay the yogurt tubes flat in the freezer so they will freeze straight.

    5

Allow a few hours for the tubes to freeze.

    6

Use a knife to cut open the frozen tube and wrap a paper towel around it to make it easier for your child to hold. The yogurt melts as your child eats it, making it easy to push up for bites.
