How to Make Homemade Detox Juice

One popular method of detox involves fasting from solid foods and taking in only certain juices that assist in removing of toxins from the body. This is considered a gentle way to detox, which serves also to ease the load on the liver, giving it a rest from its job of removing toxins from the body. Use a detox juice recipe and you may also enjoy additional benefits like weight loss and increased energy. Add this to my Recipe Box.

    Talk to your doctor before starting a fast or detox program. You may also consider doing your first detox for a short period of time, such two to three days.

    Cut the dandelion, kale, carrots, and basil into pieces and either blend completely or put into a juicer. It utilizes dandelion, which will help flush toxins.

    Take vitamin supplements to assist with your detox. Vitamin E will help protect against the free radicals produced as toxins leave your body, and vitamin C will help produce a liver compound called glutathione, which will protect against toxins.

    Supplement your detox with herbal supplements like fennel, and burdock. They work in a manner similar to the dandelion to flush toxins.
